so yeah its a serious post...i was thinking about finding a candiate to run against allison before she quit........so i had a much longer lead time than Nov 22......
i know one person who plans on challenging crystal, but he's somewhat questionable...
i don't want to accept that the TCDP simply doesn't care and is totally fine with our county being run by known christian nationalists and other radical, rank-in-file republicans who have made it a priority to punchdown on women, especially black and brown girls, while associating and aligning themselves with citizens defending freedom, mercy culture, TPUSA, and so many other fascist, far-right groups... but they've done little to persuade me otherwise.
I believe they care. They just have lacked someone to lead them so they just stumble along...I left Texas politics when we lost every statewide race in 2000 . Dem politics were largely an exercise in futility.after that. But it is a nearly a generation later and the pendulum is swingiing back...we simply have to find people with energy and belief. that's a hard job , right Crystal?T0alent doesn't just drop out of the trees.......
back to ur first comments...i have had 3 chairs.............maybe 4 since i moved back to FTW.....
they all think somehow voters and candidates will simply rush to the polls or the race cause we have winning issues...........with us doing nothing

u have to go out and get voters....... just like selling candy bars or beer. From there candidates will rush in.. I had one insider tell me he thinks we will get em AFTER 2024. oh vey!
sad and funny: i went to Southwest Dems meeting..........it turned out to be a bunch of TCU profs or emeretus o alumni ....they hardly were aware of TCDP.

Bad news.....new Tarrant Leadership which was selected( and they coould have selected ANYONE in a special election), so far has shown little energy beyond re-arranging the furniture at HQ and showcasing the Chair. I know of one new Arlington candidate who didn't even bother with the party....that may be the way to go in Tarrant Co. Sorry America , we are a influencial and flippable county but we have had no leadership in 4 terms. 6
i’ve been expressing my various frustrations with the TCDP for several years now and more recently, my concerns re crystal and her complacent attitude towards candidate recruitment. she’s openly admitted that they do not have any “firm” candidates because they “have” not filed yet. which i personally believe to mean that they have ZERO dems planning to run for any office - whether that be for the two county commissioner seats, sheriff, state board of education, and the ~ 13 texas senate and house seats up for grabs in 2024.
it blows my mind that they can’t manage (or are unwilling) to find potential contenders all while questioning and complaining about our party’s low voter turnout!! HELLO??!! surely they realize that when our ballots continually show all R’s, and one or none D’s, many of us are left thinking “what’s the fucking point?!?”
in a previous article by michelle she said something along the lines of “if we don’t run, then we will never win” - yet the TCDP seems a-okay with not winning. they honestly appear to be more concerned about maintaining the status quo all while ignoring some of us out here in the wilderness hoping to be heard!!

when she was selected i was immediately skeptical cause as I told the EC ...u chose a lawyer for a sales and marketing job.........
she has since confirmed my suspicions....i was at labor event at Panther Island Labor Day fest, she came, spoke to a few people she already knew and left after and hour to rush back to her monday podcast. AS far as i can tell she didn't lobby anyone. Labor is not for D in Tarrant by a longshot. Oppty lost.
U may or may not read FWST....R's do.....and FWST had articles expressing the opinion of Ohare and Maga Mattie and not one single Dem voice is ever heard. CG, u have to call the papers and demand they quote u.........I was talking to Bud about local Dems ,,,he laughed.
I proposed a HC voter outreach program for this Ocare enrollement peroid beginning today. I could n't get thru the switchboard(metaphoicallly) ...CG told me to contact her volunter coordiantors , I am still waiting to hear back......
I pride myself in being a donor....but a dollar to TCDP is wasted. its that simple.

some ancient history.....we were running a guy for Tx House in San Marcos.....he had a 'complicated' first name, aloysius or ferdninad , along those lines....but a good rock sold chezk-german last name.........we got him to run on is nickname 'buddy' which we christianed him right there on the spot......we were doing pretty good...competive and alll......but for some reason campaign eve he decided to take a couple of female staffers to an austin strip club. if he had won, which he didn't, he would have had to resign day 2 of his tenure
