BOLO: Be On The Lookout For Fake Antifa
Texas’ dumbest spy operation yet (and you’re paying for it).
Texas Attorney General Kenneth “Dave P” Paxton has been watching way too many movies, because he’s got it in his noggin that he’s going to launch his very own version of COINTELPRO and “infiltrate and uproot leftist terror cells in Texas.”
From his press release today:
Look, if there’s one thing no one ever accused Paxton of being, it’s smart, and obviously, this move is dumb and a waste of taxpayer dollars. However, as we’ve seen with Paxton’s election witch hunts, he’ll target Republican enemies and marginalized groups. In July, nine prominent Hispanic Democrats in South Texas were indicted on charges of “vote harvesting,” although ALL maintain their innocence, and no clear evidence has been provided.
The most considerable risk here for Texans on the left, whether that be the radical left, the transgender community, or just everyday Democrats, is that Republicans (like Paxton) cannot tell the difference between those three groups of people, but more so that Paxton has a history of targeting and prosecuting marginalized people on extremely trumped-up charges.
A 2023 police study, recently discussed online, highlighted the challenges law enforcement faces in infiltrating anarchist groups, which require a significant amount of reading and studying.
And while this particular study focused directly on anarchist groups, Ken Paxton’s Keystone COINTELPRO will likely encounter the same issues for any group to the left of the Democratic Party. You know, any radical leftists who base their worldview on the theories of a dead guy from the early industrial age. Obviously, no offense, (could be worse), it’s not like it’s a 2,000-year-old religious text. Apparently, I’m offending everyone today.
The whole point I’m getting to:
How to spot a FAKE Antifa:
He or she is not well-read. Or if they seem well-read, ask them their thoughts on alienation under late-stage capitalism. If they answer too fast, it’s a cop. (Maybe we should all read Marx just to be prepared. Just kidding. Or am I? 😜)
They say “Antifa organization” out loud.
They call graffiti “vandalism” or say “anti-ICE” unironically.
They say “I’m with Ken Paxton’s office” but insist they’re “off the record.”
They bring Costco muffins to the meeting and try to get receipts reimbursed.
They ask where the central office is.
They don’t know who Emma Goldman is, but can quote Ben Shapiro.
They ask, “So when do we riot?” before the meeting’s even started.
Now that you know those important detectors, we all can take lessons from Ken Paxton, who was at an ACTUAL insurrection and participated in an ACTUAL government coup. Paxton knows what he’s doing.
You know, I was talking to someone recently about how the things Kash Patel was saying about specific FBI investigations didn’t add up. And they said to me, “Because you aren’t the intended audience.” And then it all made sense.

Paxton’s inflammatory press release is full of nonsense terms like “transgender ideology” and “leftist terror cell,” and it isn’t supposed to make sense to us. It’s not written for us. It’s written for the uneducated and rabid base that ACTUALLY commits violence. He’s doing this to justify his future actions against whoever he targets, a transgender person, a communist, a liberal grandma who votes blue no matter who.
It’ll be a witch hunt. Someone will get swept up, on the taxpayer’s dime, because that’s how our Republican government operates. The ACLU in Texas and other groups will likely get involved, because they always do. It’s far from the only time Texas has pulled a stunt like this.
It’s just the next chapter in the right-wing fantasy where every teacher is a Marxist sleeper agent and every drag queen is a national security threat.
The playbook never changes: invent an enemy, exaggerate it, criminalize it, and then campaign on “defeating” it. Rinse, repeat. If Conservatives are anything, it’s predictable. And Paxton is doing what all wannabe authoritarians are doing these days by making himself the Texas chapter president of the Delulu club.
We live in an endless loop of fear, persecution, and press releases.
But Texans aren’t asking for this. Nobody’s sitting in Lubbock thinking, “You know what would really make my life better? A taxpayer-funded spy ring for imaginary transgender terrorists.”
Folks are worried about rent, groceries, healthcare, and whether the grid will collapse again the next time it drops below forty degrees. They’re not losing sleep over a secret Marxist book club in Denton.
But here’s something I wonder:
Is Ken Paxton doing this to serve as a distraction for Donald Trump’s Epstein files scandal?
Could Ken Paxton also be in the Epstein files?
There have been widely publicized ties between Epstein and Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Steve Bannon, and all three of these men have connections with Ken Paxton. We also know that Paxton has been caught in multiple extramarital affairs and several corruption scandals, implying that he is someone of very low morals.
It would definitely be a fair question to ask if Paxton could be in the Epstein files.
But there’s something else that we, adults, need to talk about.
What exactly is transgender ideology?
Nobody actually knows. It’s a mystery. One, Ken Paxton thinks, that “left-wing terror cells” have solved and are holding on to like the ring of power. Now, I did see an episode of Alex Jones a few years back, and he said it was a global conspiracy funded by Big Pronouns. Is it possible that Ken Paxton also believes this?
Did you know that in Austin, Alex Jones and Ken Paxton have neighboring homes? Do they occasionally share a whiskey drink and a cigar on the patio, talking about the wonders of the world? Did Alex Jones convince Ken Paxton that “transgender ideology” was about gay frogs and non-binary hamsters?
Considering that every person, transgender or not, just lives their own human experience, Paxton or Jones may never get to the bottom of the transgender ideology conspiracy.
Maybe the “left-wing terror cells” have figured it out. Whatever those are.
If you ask Texas Republicans, a “left-wing terror cell” is anyone who recycles, tips service workers, or believes libraries should exist. In their minds, it’s a shadowy network of anarchists plotting to overthrow capitalism using tote bags and feelings.
There are people who hold actual left-wing ideology, but they can barely organize a mutual aid of $100 that rotates between 10 people. Terror cell? Like the Proud Boys? Or the Oath Keepers? Pfft. No such thing exists. That’s why we can name the leaders of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers but not Antifa, which is short for Anti-Fascism.
The truth? The only “terror cells” we’ve actually seen in recent years were waving Trump flags and building gallows on the Capitol lawn, but sure, go check the Austin coffeehouses for radicals, Ken. 🙄
Paxton is counting on one thing. Fear will work better than facts.
Every time he cries “terror cell,” he’s permitting harassment, profiling, and violence. Someone always takes it seriously. Someone always gets hurt. That’s the point, fear keeps people quiet. Keeps them compliant. Keeps them from asking why their lights don’t stay on or why their property taxes keep going up while billionaires get another cut.
Bless his heart, Ken Paxton can’t tell a revolutionary from a reader. But he sure knows how to waste your money trying. He’s hunting headlines, anything to distract from his own indictments, his own scandals, and his own reflection.
🚨🚨 Call Ken Paxton’s office at (512) 463-2100 and let him know you find his hate speech disgusting.
Texas deserves better than a man who sees ghosts where there are voters, enemies where there are neighbors, and “terror cells” where there are book clubs. Texans are tired of being the testing ground for right-wing delusion. We’re ready for a government that governs, not one that spies, lies, and prays nobody notices the difference. Do Republicans even pray?
Because at the end of the day, the only terror cell Ken Paxton should be investigating is the one operating inside his own office, where corruption and projection have already taken root and sworn an oath to the Delulu Republic of Texas.

Michelle, I think I’m in trouble! I am a liberal grandma that votes Blue no matter who. 🤪
Sometimes I wonder; if I crawl under a rock, when I decide to come up, will we all be ok? 🥲
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Paxton loses his primary. 😫
I am always confounded by these MAGA-verse extremely online screeds. None of anything in that letter makes any sense to me at all, as Michelle articulated. But, it mostly doesn't make sense to me because I cannot get past the fact that the Office of the Attorney General is a civil enforcement agency, not a mini version of the federal Dept. of Justice. Paxton is constantly trying to give the impression he is a cop and in charge of cops, but he is not. The Dept of Public Safety does not report to Paxton.
And, why would you announce you are doing an undercover operation anyway? How smart is that? Even if Antifa cells existed, Paxton has now tipped them off. Okay. I can't go any further. I am stupefied by his stupidity. Calf rope.
