All that racism is a fine legacy to overcome. I love Texas, I truly do. People's attitudes and ideas are slow to change here but the times they are a changin'...
What burns me up is when these horrible people tell me to move to Oregon and California. NO, I m a sixth generation Texan. My great-great-grandfather literally made a farm out of pouring his own blood, sweat, and tears into the soil, fending off Comanches and Kiowas while living in a literal hole-in-the-ground sod house with his six children and wife, none of whom could speak English only speaking German and making a catholic colony for themselves at Munster, Texas. That is one of eight stories of ancestors who poured their blood into building someone out of nothing in this state, I will die here.
I am old enough to remember when Texas was a better place to be. Only the politics of the last thirty years is to blame for Texas' decline into the abyss of ignorance, stupidity, and hatefulness. I am not saying hatred wasn't there before, the hangings at Gainesville is a testament to that but I am saying is we used to be more decent. We used to be downhome people...
I’m sure they are. People keep acting like I’m not from here when I couldn’t be any more Texan. I tell them to leave. They never respond so they must not be from here.

It really does seem like all the Republicans are from California. 🤔
