I actually have do work for my actual job, so haven’t been looking over the data but we know in Dallas County where the only slate cards were printed were in Farmers Branch, the North Texas Democrats endorsed candidates Lupe Gonzales won, and in Glenn Heights Sonja Brown won. The bond passed in Navarro with record turnout. If we had more support and more money we could have had the slate cards in every single precinct chair in Dallas County for free. But as it was, we paid for the ones in Farmers Branch, since that my Beltline Area Dems and we raised money for just that. Ellis paid for the Glenn Heights ones that then made it over to the Dallas side and Navarro paid for their own. Those two county parties paid for the lit and then distributed it directly to the precinct chairs free of charge. So did Tarrant County. So I will run the data to prove it works. Then start offering our Dallas Clubs the slate cards next time. If our county party won’t pay for it, then our clubs, like my Beltline Area Dems will raise the money to make sure our precinct chairs have them for free.

Given that Sonja Brown won with 80% of the vote, but the Dallas side city council candidates had super low turnout, it means our strategy and lit worked. I have to wait until the canvas is Navarro for precinct based data

I'm glad to see the slate cards worked in Farmers Branch too! Richardson Area Democrats printed 10,000 slate cards and had about 150 volunteers that lit dropped them to every Dem and Dem leaning door in the Richardson city limits. LOTS of them walked into the polls with their slate cards! IT MAKES A DIFFERNCE!

Connect with Liza, she's in this thread. Or the chair, Kelly Blackburn, she's a good friend of mine. They're doing some fantastic work in that county, considering. You can probably message them here or any of their social media pages: https://www.elliscountydemocraticparty.com/contact

Thanks for the overview Michelle. I've been waiting for this. Texas results aren't as showy as NY, NJ and Virginia, but they seem every bit as encouraging for 2026. We will need to work very hard in the runoff because this is going to really get the Republicans' attention. They are no doubt hatching all kinds of nefarious plans to both destroy Taylor and work with Tim O'Hare to suppress the vote.

The amendments either lost or nearly lost in Travis Co where our Dem Party sent out voter guides saying to vote against the bad ones. There is a lesson here!!

I volunteer at party HQs. Everyone happy and hopeful. I told them it was hard for me to be happy; VP Kamala lost a year ago and we are dealing with GOP in Texas (And nationally). I told them when I hear of Texas wins I will be happier. I had been waiting for your article to give me hope. Honestly, a few at HQs mentioned these wins. I just wanted to read your article. ☺️

Very encouraging night, for sure! Agree with all you said about reaching new converts. Disagree with defining the future staring with, “FU, Jeffies, etc.” I get it, but for those of us who “came over” ten-ish years or so and are working our tails off also for D candidates, this seems a bit unwelcoming.

I came over a billion years ago lol (I’m ancient). Jeffries said over the weekend on TV that Mamdani would not be the future. I see your point, especially if you missed the segment. I was super fired up.
