Every day it gets worse. Clearly there are two political realities in our country β€” sanity and insanity. Why are so many still choosing insanity?

The interests of the wealthy do not align with the interests of the people

I am not sure the wealthy want to choose insanity … but wealth is clearly no guarantee of sanity.

This one's dynamite, Michelle!!! Thank you. Just read it to my husband after posting on bsky. Count me ready for this fight; I've been in it a long time too.

Ha ha, you have CD6 on that picture! But I have met both of them, last year. And frankly they are both governors who are doing the work and standing up for our voting rights. They are both way way better than what we have here. So I can tell you, everyone was mad about Cory Booker, but I have met him to and his is great, then Bernie, and then others got upset. About we all just shut up. Yes, I make mistakes, you and I learn things from each other. We aren’t always right and that means we are human. Am I the perfect progressive? No, but are any of us ? Sometimes you have to just win.

I can appreciate someone who admits they have re-evaluated their ideas and their candidates. One should never think they must stay the same when evidents shows something else. We see all the time that we would be better off as a country and as Texans if Republicans would do that and some Democrats.

Michelle, I got a phone call from a friend about what is happening. I have had bits and pieces discussed to me so I feel that I don’t have the whole story. One person said β€œEva you love Michelle Davis she pulled her endorsement so you know it is not good.” They went on to say so did John Lira and Whitney Masterson-Moyes did too. 😭

I’m too busy with GOTV for Bexar County and my precinct to look it up.

The PAC I belong to is having an emergency meeting on Sat morning. I will be block walking to get out the vote.

The nation is in an existential crisis. There are no guarantees that Democrats will flip Texas, unless voters make it happen. Vote against Republicans. Nothing else matters right now, except to purge them from state and federal government. Once Democrats are back in power, they can commence removing the superannuated, the AIPAC recipients, the sock puppets of the oil industry, and anyone else who should have no place in the modern Democratic party. But for now, Democrats must win back power.

Michelle, great thoughts. I disagree with Lizzie on some points also. Please share specifically why she is on this list. Thanks.

She ran unopposed this cycle, so I haven’t covered her as much in a while, but you can absolutely find more details in my archives.

It boils down to her alliance with fossil fuels and the corporate establishment. Most the time, you can count on her for votes on civil liberties, when it comes to women or LGBTQ rights. But when it comes time to voting on the climate crisis or for working families, she’s almost always voting with the Republicans.

Thank you. I know she takes AIPAC and energy money. She also was a big Allred supporter. She is my rep and I know she will go with the establishment most of the time. I was curious if there was more.

The shale gas technologies have not affected the Houston area as much as other areas (North Texas). New environmentalists rose up and were born because of these fossil fuel technologies directly impacting the quality of life. She would have a more difficult time being elected in North Texas with weak environmental votes.
