I sincerely pray to dear god we can achieve some form of capture in the 2026 midterms for Texas. We really need to capture lots of judicial, state and local races if we really want to pressure the texas republican party. Otherwise they will keep doing this

If turnout in the primaries is significant it can be a sign of for future general elections. The electoral college will be running through Texas and Florida.

have we gotten any words in regards to judicial races? the GOP was able to gain a significant amount of judicial races in even blue cities in Texas. This is quite concerning honestly.

Honestly, I am not paying attention to any race until the legislature is over. Come June, I'll start publishing who's running and what seats still need to be filled.

understandable. Apologies if it seems like i am rushing towards elections i just have to at least see that having Kendall Scudder and these local races mean something. It has to because it is so important. for too long corporate democrats and right leaning democrats have incredibly demobilized the base of voters in Texas and the election in 2024 was just proof of that.

Someone should really make a sit com about these nut cases. I am so so so so grateful for Rep. John Bryant continuing to fight every day, ministering to our church and being with those in need of spiritual guidance. He continues to show up for all Texans in multiple ways.

We need 20 just like him.

Exactly, the whole reason he came out of retirement was to help mentor and teach the younger generation how to fight in the Texas Legislature. The entire 2018 class was mentored by John. Julie Johnson is now in Congress.

Okay, but Julie Johnson is pretty far to the right of Bryant, imo.

I’m exhausted just reading (and watching) this article! Have the passed (was it) HB2 to fund public education, yet?

I hope I don’t miss your article about that that Bill.

No. HB2 still hasn’t been scheduled for hearing.

Do you think they will do it in the last minute to make us worry. I’m trying not to worry.

Honestly, I think they aren’t going to fund schools. I have zero trust in them.

You don’t need to be sorry! GOP does! 🤬 Unfortunately, I will be in a nursing home (or dead) before the rest of Texas figures it out. It might be too late! 😭
