Tim O'Hare is a cartoon villain. But, what he is doing is no joke. What really angers me is he is not from Tarrant County. I think he moved here specifically to "save" Tarrant County for Texas Republicans. When they redistricted and had public comments, I attended my precinct meeting. I also attended the bigger public comment meeting at UTA. It was quite clear to me from Republicans' demeanor they were just going through the motions and fully intended to stifle our votes. And they saw nothing wrong with that. That is the truly scary part.
They will push this through on Tuesday. Then, we will organize to inform Tarrant County voters where, when and how to vote. Most importantly, we inform them why it is imperative they vote for Alisa Simmons and every single Democrat on their ballot. The game is afoot.
I can’t show up to speak because I have a previous engagement tomorrow at that time. But, I did get my comments in. In my opinion, the process pushed kept right up to the edge on rigging. It was surprisingly difficult to get information on the actual wording of the proposals. One proposal cited the Election Code. So, I looked it up. A fair reading of the rules on reducing polling stations would conclude they can’t do it, but I’m not an expert.
Or Republicans think the courts will back their play. Or they don’t care and are just trying to throw obstacles in the path.

Did you get you work done to speak tomorrow. I would not be surprised if it was rigged to keep people from signing up

Those first two sentence nail it. Sigh.
