I’m torn on the survey, tbh. We need progressives who will work together and pull as a team. I worry less about labels and more about issues related to all the things I know you hold dear, Michelle. We need a MASSIVE progressive wave no matter what. We can’t be a fringe caucus of the larger Democrat tent; we need to be the party that gets things done. I worry about corporate Democrats having all the seniority and thus all the power to direct policy.
And so that’s my heartburn. Should we not push the progressive wave regardless? If nothing else maybe the larger Democrat party will have a “holy shit, they’re serious, pissed, and active” moment and perhaps inspire more progressive candidates here and across the country. Allow Texas to lead with a progressive coalition. Maybe a path forward?
There is only 1 primary in Dallas County that matters. County Clerk. There is no Republican so the March 3 Election Day we will know who will have the job (unless there is a run off). If we want to win state wide, we have to win this election. The candidate that voters and neighbors and communities and cities want is Tony Grimes.
Why do I feel like crying after I read this? I feel that you are spot on with your words. I feel the same way. I have always say as a life long Democrat; I want to move the party progressive…. Not independent! My motto is vote for the best Democratic Party Candidate never an independent. Like you said (not a quote) TDP is moving in the right directions. I don’t plan to give any energy to an independent. Great Article Thank you.
On another vote: yesterday I attended a forum for the DA of Bexar County. There are 6! 🤦🏽♀️ Several sound great. I still don’t know who to vote for. Any advice on how to learn more about those running?
Lastly, I’m very upset that Mike Collier is running independent! 😡 He will hurt the Democratic Party Candidate. 😤
No need to say sorry. I felt your passion. It is so upsetting that the pro life doesn’t care about Heath care for ALL as much as the care about fetus. 😔.
I missed that December 23 publication on Healthcare and will read it. I must learn more but with so many things there seems to be ramifications to changing from one system to another. Same with boycotts. If you boycott Target for example and they lose a lot of income what will they do. Maybe layoff or fire lower-income workers. What do those workers then do in this job market? So, not always as simple as we might think.
I remember that title and possibly skimmed it. I have to do that a lot. Is that yours. If so I cannot find it nor can I find the one I wanted to read on Dec. 23 you posted. Am I wrong, or are some things published just under your name and some under Lone Star Left?

That’s what my instinct tells me. But we won’t know what the outcome will be until March 3.

I’m sorry 😭 I didn’t mean to make anyone almost cry.

I really liked this one, Michelle. Thank you! Just shared on Bsky-- read it last night but wanted to wait to share it.

Thousands of people dying each year because they can't afford access to healthcare or medicine should take precedence.
Oh I agree. I am just trying to see how it works.
Read the article about "How to talk to Dems," it explains a lot.

Yes, but I might have wrote it in 2024…
