I would like to see info about what other states do in this regard? How many have full time legislators? How many have a system like Texas? What are other models?

I saw a list a while back, but I couldn't find it again, but there are several legislatures who work full time. I'll plan to do a follow up on this soon to go further in depth.

Sounds like great reasoning!

Diluting the deluge of money and noise throughout the entire year, and expanding the pool of candidates.

i agree if they go full time...pay em full time pay..but not much..maybe minimun wage ............u won't get better legislators, u might get a better process.......

in thinking about electos think about the enterprise,,,,u put ur ego, money , ass on the line for chance to win.....who in their right minds does that?.................even our beloved D's aren't sane...most have a miriad of diagnosis...some slight...some glaring

what MAGA has done is open up to every Jr. College dropout is that u too can get alot of attention and maybe a paying job by being ur own loon self....Bobert and MTG make an art of it.....

make being a rinky dink State Lege a good paying job?.................hell i might even run
