She is a traditional R thru and thru and now says she is voting Democrat up and down the ballot because what is happening is not safe and not protecting life and not about Christ. She is done. I have no doubt that you tried. The Democrats have been the party of the status quo, and just keeping everything quiet and as unchanging as possible. No one is going to vote for that anymore, and they need to go. I hate to even say these words, but we have to operate the same way MAGA did when they hijacked the national Republican Party. MAGA was born on social media, encouraged by a lot of actors who benefit from conflict between Americans. Algorithms pumped up their reach, and the servants of the Dark Side took advantage. Then, they started challenging the candidates the national party sent them. They threatened to primary those who weren't on the crazy train to dictatorship with them. Democrats can do the same thing. Local activists are correct, we have to fill those precinct chair positions, block walk, and register Dem voters. We have to provide public feedback to campaigns so they do, and say, what we want them to do and say. Most of the time we're relieved that anyone was tough enough to run, but Democrats are going to start winning elections now, to the extent they aren't rigged, so we have a chance to start a truly grassroots movement to get people who will fight. Just reading about the Democratic National Committee meeting yesterday. The Party is going through serious upheaval as progressives try to force their way into Party leadership to have a voice in policy and funding decisions. The DNC is not getting any donations, and they have no plan. The last time the DNC knew anything about Texas, Bob Bullock was the Speaker and Ann Richards was the Governor. Now, while they're fighting for their existence, we're not a high priority for them. It's on us, the people, to be the grassroots opposition in Texas.
