“Blame is for losers,” says the man blaming immigrants, women, and weed for everything since Genesis. Pharaoh logic: flood the land, then redraw the map. But no worries—karma doesn’t gerrymander.

Abbott is just serving his real constituents - the wealthy oligarchy. I'll never forget how he went to a fundraiser the day of the Ulvade (sp?) bloodbath. Why should a few dozen people dying and missing from a measly flood be of any concern?

CD 33 is already a complete gerrymandered mess, it is a snake that is packed with Democrats throughout Tarrant and Dallas County. It makes no sense. So what they make it snake into Parker or up to Tyler? How it would ever pass muster. Or make CD 6, 33, 24 all snake curly ? Or maybe instead of a snake packed with all the democrats pull it down south and split CD 6 in half? And split of Waxahachie and Midlothian ? I guess that might work, but guess what, then Ellis County will join in the all our revolt we have seen in Keller and Mansfield which are both making CD 24 and CD 6 bluer. So I say to Abbott, FAFO. You want to gerrymander the one county that keeps getting bluer and make sure they are tied up with both hands behind their backs like are already are in 6 and 24 and make of worse? Yeah, go ahead and try. You want both Ellzey, Harrison and VanDuyne in Congress ? We are never gonna let that happen. Hard core MAGA in Dallas, Tarrant, Ellis and even in Navarro County are getting awfully pissed off at Tim Dunn. We just need to say his name and show the receipts by actually knocking on doors. That is how we defeated Tim Dunn in Keller, Mansfield and Irving. Fuck off Abbott, do this and kiss 2026 goodbye. We will get Elon to fund Marc Cuban and you can just go retire.

I sincerely hope that you all in Texas are ready to fight in 2026 and at least send some of these republican packing. They just simply cant stay in their seats anymore and from what you are telling me it looks like Kendall is trying to work hard to rebuild the infrastructure in Texas. Reorganizing with progressives and activists in the State is crucial for yall.

my thoughts....we have no state wide office holder...so the chair and the party has to get the publicity that an ag sec could draw to say flooded ranches......

same with working poor...........we don't have anyone to speak for them.....our own county party won't ever raise enough money to do anything......

what it appears...and a lot will disagree,,,is kendoll is going around speaking to the choir whilst ignore the voters who don't vote a block away...

i have a remedy.......rather than hire NYC consultants....pay a squad...to show up at random Walmarts and picket for 2 hours a day.........for a week.....its where every poor person HAS to go............tailor the message......but let em know we are alive

statewide and in my county, nobody know there is a D party......let let em know Kendoll......and stay away from lawyers

Coming back to the flood, this piece in the Austin Chronicle was heartbreaking.

The people harmed most by GOP misfeasance will never budge. It's depressing.

The John Lewis Voting Rights Act (JLVRA) is not the only avenue. The JLVRA applies to congressional districts but not our state and local districts. We can work to amend the Texas Constitution to place redistricting in the hands of an independent nonpartisan citizen redistricting commission. The mission of Texans Against Gerrymandering-TAG is to pass this amendment. And we can’t do it alone. We need organizers and volunteers. Contact me at 281-624-8993.

I suggest TDP create a template news aggrator for the all the counties to post important news they won't find locally .....Kerrville , which is 85% MAGA has no paper for Kerrverts to read criticisms of Trump or Abbott....why else did u think county commish's were clueless about sirens...they get thier news from the paper

here in FWST the Statle Gram has nothing to say..........but its pretty fundamental to all the cancer patients in the metroplex.......so put in in a news aggravater on the TCDP website...good information and good PR

'The Trump administration’s broadsides against scientific research have caused unprecedented upheaval at the National Cancer Institute, the storied federal government research hub that has spearheaded advances against the disease for decades."

Seems like important news that will never make it to the folks of Alpine or Hemphill

from Slate; u know the story but its good to have a fresh reminder

"How Strategist Brain Took Over the Democratic Party

During the Reagan revolution, Democrats settled on a new way to win elections. It’s destroying them now."

lot of talk about 'coastal consutants'''''''

'give me $500k for NYC consultants Bob"........

or

what TDP spent on deBlasio Consultants last year

---

a little snipet about big time consultant Rham who is so good at consultantcy....welll lets let Slate tells us; "The strategy guys who work out of fancy offices tend to have staying power, though, no matter how poor their advice on subjects other than campaigns turns out to be. Rahm Emanuel, for instance, ended his tenure as mayor of Chicago with an 18 percent approval rating and is now considering a run for president."

this most interesting 2 paragrapshs; "number of earnest ideas have been proposed for what Democrats could spend time and money on, besides the usual, to improve their reputation and long-term outlook. Some of those include rebuilding local news, organizing local chapters around service projects or social events, and supporting the growth of labor unions. In Nevada, the late Sen. Harry Reid put time and money into drastically expanding the on-the-ground presence of his state’s Democratic Party organization, creating notable turnout advantages. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has touted “deep canvassing,” which is just a gross way of saying talking to regular people even when there’s not an election coming up. Some political scientists think there’s evidence that it can work to change minds—and the amount of shoe leather that Zohran Mamdani and his volunteers expended seems to have contributed to his surprise victory in the New York City mayoral primary.

ALOT OF THESE IDEAS ,ARE, IN A WAY, THE SAME IDEA, TO RAISE THE LIKELIEHOOO THAT SOMEONE ENCOUNTERS A DEMOCRAT IN REAL LIFE while going about their day-to-day business as a human with friends, neighbors, and a family.
