AIPAC money is a tricky one. I am a hard core progressive but my focus is on my kids - LGBTQ and biracial - in Texas. In K-12 and in college right now at state schools passing policy of hate against them.

My top progressive candidates probably won’t take AIPAC money anyway but for us parents living this our priority is our children 😢😢. And that’s how I vote. So if James Talarico happened to take AIPAC money it doesn’t matter to me personally because he has been a LOUD supporter for my kids and for public education. These are my top priorities because I’m so tired of my own kids being attacked 😡.

We're all tired of it, and Republicans are only getting worse. Who knows what they'll do next?

I hope you get my meaning here. There is only so much we can handle and take in, have to focus or it takes over our mental health and we spin out. The advocate parents in my area and I’m speaking from personal experience here. Fighting just to get the insanity off of our school board now - CyFair ISD. Sigh 😔.

Wow, talk about proving a point. Several have made comments about being satisfied, even glad, about decentralizations because some Austinites feel privileged and make outliers feel left out or less important. Whoever chastised you deserves 30 lashes with a wet noodle. We need to be among the people rather than esconsed in a building removed from most. If we learned nothing else from Beto's first run we should have learned to run or to represent statewide means you are out in the whole state.

That's right. We have a state to save. The other thing is Texas Republicans are the genesis of a lot of stuff which is later exported to other states. Trump copies Texas Republican strategies. Republicans did the redistricting trick in Tarrant County first.

I believe that if we flip Texas, it's the whole ball game, kind of like taking out the Death Star. So, I'm fully on board with the Texas focus. Plus, as a Native Texan, I've always had a hard time caring about anything not about Texas anyway. I believe in pragmatism. I also believe that real democracy allows for an entire spectrum of personal beliefs.

The fact someone doesn't completely align with me doesn't bother me one bit. More power to them. As long as they don't cause trouble and they pull in the same direction toward the same general Democratic Party goals, I'm fine. The overriding goal here is to get more votes than Republicans, not to enforce purity.

Keep up the good work, Michelle.

Absolutely agree. We cannot cut people off nor disparage them because they are not in total agreement with us. We have to keep the end goal in mind.

I am in contact with Viator Smith who became the Texas democratic party progressive caucus chair. Viator has been telling me some interesting things happening within the circle and she was also surprised that thanks to your reporting that i knew so much what was going on with Texas dems. Also Viator Smith also appreciates your reporting. She likes how you bring attention to Texas politics especially within the democratic circle.

indeed. I am in an organization that has her in alongside with a few Texas precient chairs. The people in my organization who live in Texas really do enjoy me reporting things from your articles because it makes them realize that the state is not hopeless as it seems and it gives them enough vigor to do what they can for Texas democrats. Hell when i mentioned what happened with Kendall Scudder where Gilberto tried to block him out the process indirectly, they were shocked as they didnt realize that it was that terrible before Kendall came along. The precients chairs and Viator Smith and my organization are all trying to work all together to flip Texas blue. But other then that, i am not lying when i say you are really giving them hope to keep trying Michelle. Keep it up.

This morning was a shit show. Trump and Hegseth are arrogant and embarrassingly ignorant. Not a good combo. I was squirming with discomfort. Wish I could read behind those poker faces of all the military officers sitting there having to listen to nonsense.

As a resident of the RGV I'm having difficulty understanding why a Texas Democratic organizing office is not being setup in this area. We're larger than Eagle Pass and Amarillo, if I'm not mistaken. We're critical to the Democratic party as witnessed by the national attention we received in the last election, as this Dem stronghold shifted to Trump. More neglect of this area, in a tragic way that's been our lot historically? Is Kendall simply "punishing" Himojosa? It's there something critically important in Eagle Pass and/or Amarillo vs the RGV? I don't get it.

spend this time going around explaining to voters what fed workers do for them

his quote: we now have the time

so Kendoll and Allison....put is together...rallies and meet-ups or recognize u don't meet the moment and resign ASAP

Tex Dem Leadership; fiddling while Rhome burns

in Allison's case she waiting for No Kings to do her work

Ken's move from Dallas to Dallas is so overwhelming he can barely send out a fundraising email

FYI: u cannot fire government employees in a shutdown....its a big fat f....ing lie that no one seems to understand

maybe kendoll u get some sort of shut down expert to post a FAQ for people in Liberty or Commanche Counties who have absoutley no press to tell em what's going on

then u would be doing something

PS: caravan, have u left Karl's corner yet?
