It is downright sickening how much spin and propaganda I've seen about the cutting of SNAP benefits the past couple weeks - right wingers are trying to claim that the majority of SNAP recipients are illegal immigrants - as if immigrants deserve to starve, as if undocumented people are even able to apply for SNAP - and truly evil heartless people responding to mothers worried about feeding their kids with "get a job" ignoring that those mothers are already working 80 hour weeks in a system that refuses to pay them enough to support their families. The right craves suffering, misery, and death.
Ahaha, the Satanic Temple doing more for the impoverished then the supposed Christians in office, that's perfectly in line with what little I know of the Satanists - they're basically atheists who want to be smug to Christians about it, and are generally good people who use that badge as an edgy moniker more than anything. And hey, if their slightly obnoxious pettiness means feeding the hungry, I'm on the side of the slightly obnoxious petty atheists 😁
We need to publicize what's happening. The Increasing home and car foreclosures, families living in cars and on the streets with no health insurance, while the lives of the obscenely weathly continue as usual.
All Democratic Clubs and Party functions should ask all attendees to bring food for a food bank.

I wouldn't be surprised if the people who are acting so flippant have close relatives and friends who rely on SNAP who will be hurt by this.
