It has been a shell game from the Texas GOP leadership for as long as many Texans can remember. On the Amendments coming up, a lot of them sound needed but if it says the state will pickup part of the funding or action do not believe it!!!

Not to mention decades of propaganda about the evils of a state income tax.

I would think that if Texans were really paying attention (it’s not that hard-I saw it as a teacher) for the last 30 years Texas Public Education has gotten worse. Because of the GOP! After all they have been the ones in power.

The school district that I live in and taught it my last 12 years of my teaching career. Has a bond to vote on this Nov. 4, 2025! They say they need ½ million dollars! 😳

https://www.neisd.net/About-NEISD/District-Details/Critical-Updates/Bond-2025/

🤬🤬🤬

As Texas has all this extra cash that they could have given to public schools but the Governor pushed Vouchers for the RICH. Remember the windfall money 2 sessions ago? Where did that go?

🤬🤬🤬

I’m so upset about this bond and why they have to ask for this money.

Instead of vouchers, that money could have been used to give each district a million dollars. My Texas House rep once said all property taxes should be abolished and districts could just hold bond elections each year to pay for everything.

You must have a GOP one too. 😢

Right, I guess I shouldn’t expect the GOP to educate the masses. 🤦🏽‍♀️

THIS! Legislative Democratic candidates (new and incumbents) should message on lowering property taxes by restoring the state’s share of school funding. Dems should be making a lot of noise about this. Kids with special needs are not getting the services they need and it's not the fault of the schools (mostly, I think). It's the fault of the #TxLege.

Tim Koss, what bug got up your butt last night?

I hope you wake up in a better mood today after your late night criticisms.

Your comments are usually on point, but not today.

Don’t say “lazy” to Michelle when you can’t even be bothered with capitalizations and spelling!🤦🏻‍♀️

PS: when you’ve dug deeper for those stats you’re bragging about, share your sources or shut up

:2 out of 3 households" is what ai regurgitates if u search....of course 2 out of 3 is bogi cause most of those are aged white folks....homeownership varies drastically by age and race.

everybody needs someone looking over their shoulder...if only occaisonally , I have u,

u'd have to google, but everybody pays property taxes, alot alot are grandfathered and alot on pay thru their rent and don't know how much they pay.

if i am in one of those 2 categories PT isn't top of mind....it is if ur a 46 yo hedge fund manager living in Highland Park, not so much if ur a landscaper living outside of Crowley.

so i think it deserves a little nuance and i don't see it a being the vote seeking missile it might be for a lawyer living in River Oaks...I could be wrong.

it think HC is it.....morning, noon and nite, i could be wrong here too! I still have a box of Wendy Davis stickers, so what do i know?

see, its a little nuanced.....

i know several households in a rental that is actually several families or generations of families....

Tim Koss, You obviously don’t know, or care to know, anything about our new TDP Chair, Kendall Scudder. We elected him because he is uniquely qualified to turn this ship around. Stand back and watch. Now go back to eating your sour grapes with whatever bitter loser you have aligned yourself with.

all he has done so far, is visit FTW lawyers..skipping a poor Hispanic community nearby.....and sending out begging letter....tell ur hero to send one email with info and inspiration and not asking for money to pay for his highly disruptive move that helps only him.. maybe on the drive up he can find me a Candidate for CD-12 cause so far that slot is open.

You think because you rent that you don't pay property taxes? That's a typically laughable Republican response. Why don't you try fixing your own Party before you come trying to throw shade on a gentleman who's trying to make change for the better of the working class in this state.

800 Generals to be recalled to DC

circle all that apply

a) they are given a pep talk

b) commanded to take a loyalty to Trump

c) a bunch are summarily fired

d) some are executed

e) some or all are replaced by smarmy, sleazy sycophants in the manner of wife beater Pete Hegesth

f) all of the above
