I super love this. I founded Secular Houston, and we proudly endorsed Christian Menefee. We will work to help him win his election on March 3rd and beyond. He will be a terrific member of the Congressional Freethought Caucus as well.

I'm seeing analyses that say there were swings of up to 50 points left in Hispanic neighborhoods of Ft Worth.

I’m seeing the same. I’ll have breakdowns soon. Doing meet the candidates articles tomorrow and then I think Monday we’ll talk numbers.

It’s very exciting, Rehmet moved this district +37 points to the left.

Michelle I can’t find where the Tarrant County race has been called although Taylor has maintained a steady lead. Who has called it?

Media Touch and the Election HQ. I just saw on Facebook that Leigh Wambsganss is giving a sad speech about a rematch in November right now.

Yeah I’m seeing it elsewhere now too-just came back over to say never mind. I’m so excited!

See....when we show up, we win! Remember - republicans never win elections but Democrats lose them. That's almost axiomatic in the political realm today.

The political lesson is also very clear. By showing up consistently in people's lives as the canvassers have done in these two races can overcome any culture war bs that gets spewed on TV and social media. This is very basic but somehow the Democrats forgot this on a systemic level. The question now is will the Democratic establishment in Texas and nationwide internalize this lesson going forward.
