Tomorrow will be my first convention at all, so I'm going to be watching everything in general. I have also signed up for the state convention as well. I'm looking forward to it. I cannot imagine Texas Democrats coming as far as we have in the last two years to simply turn our party over to the powers that be. It seems to me pretty clear that the powers that be didn't help us when we needed them. I'm reminded of the old children's story "The Little Red Hen."
Where did the announcement come from about the State Convention because I saw nothing and we signed up for both the State Convention and the Local. Local said they did not get it so I had to register again. Guessing with the turnover some things were lost. Oh and btw I did see that Corpus Christi will now have enough water until July. 😎
Cory Booker? As I recall, he laughed with astonishment during the Presidential debate when Beto spoke in Spanish when answering a question. Booker couldn’t believe Beto dide that. Obviously, Booker doesn’t know anything about Texas. Why oh why Booker?! DPT asking him to keynote just underscores the fact that the state party is still a mess.
I believe Michelle stated the why in her article. I’m not a big Fan of Booker but if he is able to help us see the bigger picture in voting for Rep. Talarico. I’m for it. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
What I remembered I typed: The Bexar County Chair is new. I believe this is her first County Convention that she has put together. I am happy that she selected a place that is large enough to have 4 CDs. So we will break out into 4 separate but come together as a County.
I didn’t offer my help to organize this event because I don’t feel like I have the knowledge of what to do. I got involved with the Party in Feb. 2018. The first State convention was on zoom due to COVID. The next one was at a local library and all we did was read from a script and we answered. I went to State that year but was lost and felt that my lack of understanding caused me to miss all the good parts. Not to mention not wanting to spend money that I didn’t have for the good stuff. The last state convention; I didn’t bother to go. The last convention was at a church and we had a break out session for the SD. The read the Resolutions to us. When I asked if I could have a copy. They said the email asked us to print them. I didn’t so I was lost. 🫣🫠.
I am looking forward to learning more about conventions. When should a county start to organize the convention. 6 months before?

I saw it on Instagram just a few hours ago.
That's what I get for trying to stay off Socials.
