I have been a staunch supporter of President Biden and you have articulated well about his great accomplishments. However, we have learned in bits and pieces after the debate that it was not a one off. Unfortunately age has taken a toll on him though his staff has been protective in keeping his condition secret. He has been a great President and should not destroy his great legacy by not only losing to Trump but also damaging the prospects of down ballot Democrats. I like and respect him immensely but it is sad to see him in this condition trying to hang on.
A supporter stated it succinctly in a sign,” We love you Joe but pass on the torch. “
Truth be told, I'd vote for a warm puddle of vomit before I voted for Trump. However, with all of the negativity surrounding Biden this week, I wanted to talk about the positive things he's done for Texas, and why I would vote for him if the election is today. Since I have no control over what the DNC does, I'll support the current candidate. If they switch him out, I'll support that. But if they don't switch him out, voters should know he's still a better option than Trump.
According to the article below, “New Polling Shows a Large and Growing Majority Want Biden to Step Aside: The new survey also shows Americans, including a significant number of Democrats, lack confidence in the president’s ability to do the job and that a sizable share of Democrats think he can’t win.”
I saw that earlier. The DNC is less than a month away. If things change, I'll reframe my support. But we cannot lose this election. Between Trump's dictator aspirations and Project 2025, too much is at stake.
