Texas love their carbon, even if it kills the world...i wonder what Davy Crockett would think?

"Yee-haw," I'd imagine.

I have a feeling these “Democratic Party” congressmen and women will get money from oil companies to get reelected. Phillip Cortez is in Bexar County (I don’t think any other Congress people from Bexar County voted for it? Please point out if I’m wrong.) and I will mention it to his constituents. However, I feel that like with Henry Cuellar, they might ignore this vote so that they don’t end up with a Tony Gonzales. Sooo I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. It would be nice if the Bexar County Progressives would run someone against him.

Phillip Cortez is the absolute worst. I put him on my list of "people who might switch parties" in 2023. I'm not messing with that this year. Instead, he'll be on my list of "Democrats who need to be primaried."

My new rep Charlene Ward Johnson had been doing so well until this vote. Damn it.

Some of these votes surprised me. They probably just need a reminder about what Democratic voters expect. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Am I correct that the third reading the no carbon tax proposed constitutional amendment was postponed? So I can call my rep tomorrow to explain why she should vote no?

Yes, it was postponed until Thursday. I planned on doing an update tomorrow on that and school finance. It was delayed because he doesn't have the votes yet; he needs 100. I called my Rep and told him to vote no on the third reading, even though he did on the second.

Alders will still need 100 votes to pass it. He would need Democrats. We need all of them to vote no.
