Please correct me if I’m wrong, an ad against Ms Hinajosa says she voted to raise taxes 40 times. I believe that she was actually voting to approve the money for public schools. Is my understanding correct?
Only counties can charge property taxes, not the state. And property taxes are so high because the state won’t pay its fair share of public education. If the state paid more for public education, property taxes would actually likely go down. It's really complicated, and Abbott is counting on that.
Michelle, once again I wish everyone in Texas would read your work. I spoke to Rep. Diego Bernal last Saturday. I brought up the vote he did before Texas took over Houston ISD. I don’t remember the name of the Bill. Anyway, I mentioned to him that you keep me well informed and that I let his constituents know how he is voting. 😬 I asked him to please NOT ever vote against Public Education again because it hurts his constituents. He said “it wasn’t only my vote because I would never be the final vote to pass the bill.” 🤔

Thank you for this. We are ever so hopeful. Tarrant County did a thing. Worked to fill that room for Gina on Sunday. We were there to check Voter Registration and actually unearthed at least one unregistered person. Everyone else is checking their registration once a week. Excitement was rampant and we see people sacrificing daily to make the dream a reality. If we flip only the Senate race that is good, but completely flipping the State Government would bode well for Texas for the future and for the United States. Write on...

Maybe in a nutshell. Mostly, Republicans lie.
