The more i listen to Kendall the more i feel so pissed off because it speaks parallel to what is exactly happening with our democratic party in New York. This is precisely why we lost so much ground Jesus Christ. And that moron Gilberto Hinojosa is Latino himself. I still am in shock that despite the fact y'all had a Latino party chair, yet he was that incompetent that he couldn't arrange a Spanish speaking department for one of the largest voting blocs? this is exactly why I say i am not scared of the republican party it's the democratic party establishment that really frightens me a lot.

I don’t think there’s a person in Texas who will argue that Hinojosa was ineffective. I don’t know enough about New York to say what’s going on there, but today I feel like the TDP is headed in the right direction.

Basically we have a party chair by the name of Jay Jacobs who is the protege of our former sexual predator governor Andrew Cuomo. Basically what is going on is the democratic party in NY was designed to an arm and "extension" to function around former governor Cuomo. In fact if there were any party members that went against governor Cuomo he would use the party appartus to threaten them into primaries and essentially remove any influence that threatened his presence in the party. Unfortunately the problem is he is still party chair in NY because our new Governor Kathy Hochul still wants him there and the party appartus still functions and lingers behind lobbyists that were behind Governor Cuomo. Unlike Texas, Party chairs are not elected. The governor has the power to appoint party chairs. This is why we are losing ground because Jay Jacobs still approaches politics in a similar manner like Hinojosa and he effectively tries to primary and suppress the progressive and left leaning candidates that try to participate in getting elected.

That sucks that they aren’t elected. NY Dems should change that.

Mubashir Saleem's avatar

The New York democratic party is divided unfortunately due to this. We are also just as decentralized as the Texas democratic party was originally and we are locked out of electing new party chairs because of how the party chair system was designed.

supposely its the New York State Democratic Committee that reelects party chairs but it is full of lobbyists that the original governor appointed.

I share your sentiment in regards to political consultants. Believe me i really do as they are just as much to contribute to the losses the democratic party has. But i am willing to give Kendall a chance as i have noticed he focuses a lot on the grassroots efforts and activists. If he involves and incoporate those groups into

the party i am positive we will see a shift.

i am not trying to be super-crtical...its more like , "approach with caution, animal may bite"

anyone who runs for anything is ambitious and agrees to the responsibilties of the job..in these times they should of enough skill and experience to be effective day 1.

I have tried to connect with his office anyway i can since he got elected...u know emails or FB , or X or the web portal , u kow reall attention grabbing headlines like .like TCDP ON FIRE......haven't heard from him or his assistant or the janitor. should i try a CandyGram? I dunno...i guess i am just too lowly for the hi-mogul of the muckety- muck Chair of the Party of the People(sic)

do we know he is even aware of the crisis....who would tell him, Crystal? any one have any channels into TDP Chair? So who knows if our problems are even being discussed.

PS: the first person that says; trust me he knows, with out offering proof, have i got a tarriff i can sell u.

In closing, let's not be guillable and let's not assume anyone is coming to the rescue.

1.1 dems didn't vote, 200k which were in Tarrant County..............never heard from the party....or a candidate................that;s the crux of the matter.....MAGA has all those outlets.......we have none...so we have to strategize around that...he said nothing.

It’s up to the Texas democratic chairs as to what they will do also. Yes they need more training to what they need to do, however, we can get our butts out in our counties and motivate and utilize our volunteers. We should not think Kendall is our magician to solve all problems. Let’s get out and motivate our precinct chairs and our members in our counties. Let’s stand with Kendall and do our job. To Tim Koss, Kendall raised over $50,000 in 24 hrs, and he is supporting his county chairs. You want to do something, then get involved in your county. Get involved with your party. If you’re in a county without a chair, I challenge you be a chair or a precinct chair. Be involved with your county instead of being an armchair quarterback. Get involved the trenches and get dirty with the rest of us. IT WILL TAKE ALL OF US !!!

and no don't go back to Austin and confer with others

wMD pointed it out succinctly and the NY State poster reminds us.........collaboration and consensus as the goal is lame........be as staunchly progessive as wMD says we are and u claim to be ....no one has tried before.be strong and determined and firm and use a commanding hand......shake these 30 year party do-nothings into action or get rid of em

We need more Precinct Chairs in Bexar County. If you live in Bexar County message me. ☺️.
