It's more my time I was concerned about. I subscribe to too many Substacks, and many are adding audio and video. I feel like I had more time on my hands before retiring. BTW congrats on the degree and the book!

Oh, haha. Thank you. You know you can listen to Substacks that are written, too? Maybe that will help you squeeze more in. 😁

I'm often listening to something while reading something else. That way I can get about half out of it of what the author intended.

Happy Birthday and Congratulations on your 2nd degree! Super Liberal!!

I love your Substack and I want to be involved as much as I can be. Part of the reason I love what you write is I constantly learn and feel incrementally more confident in understanding the issues and Texas politics in general. So thank you for all of that!

And I can't wait to read your novel! 👏🏼👏🏼

I'd say more to all but time is limited. As for reptilican primaries, only the more entertaining ones, like the AG race.

I will have a lot more time once I graduate, and I want to get better at planning content, which may free up more time. The Republican AG race is a total shit-show. I expect a few others to look like that, but not all of them.

Keep turning the screws in a factual, non-hostile way on whatever shenanigans get your attention. The R's deserve it, and some D's are asking for it. The school takeovers in Houston and FtWorth could use some more attention from those who don't live there (hint hint).

I am astonished that 57% of your readers are Baby Boomers.

Plus, they're highly engaged voters.

I'm not. I've taken similar polls before, and it hasn't changed much. I think the younger you are, the less likely you are to consume "reading" as a form of media. Obviously, no offense to anyone. I'm a millennial and an avid reader, but the younger you are, the more you're looking for video content. That's my theory, anyway.

Happy Birthday and congratulations on your graduation!🎉 I hope there will be some rural counties in the upcoming elections that will be surprising, interesting and fun to hear about because they are voting for Democrats!

💙 I hope so too, I'm really expecting Lubbock to jump out and surprise us one of these days. Maybe next year will be it.

You may be on to something. My nephew and his wife (both Gen Z) live in Lubbock and they voted for the first time, and it was for Kamala! They are both from very conservative families.

Thank you for asking our opinion and many felicitations on your degree, your birthday, AND your book. Mine has never happened, but I am not dead yet! I always tell people I was a social worker and wanted to earn more money so I became a teacher/librarian. Laughter can be heard on the next block. It is really for ourselves not everyone else though. Good on you. Looking forward to the sorting out you do.
