Of course, our committeeman for CD 6 voted against all of it. ALL! Yes, even though we are in DFW he voted against moving the executive office to DFW and having 5 regional offices that saves us $3,000 each month. But he voted NO! Luckily, our committee woman, there by proxy, voted yes on everything. But we are losing her as a result of redistricting. So get ready! As the 2024 national democratic delegate for CD 6, I am running for SDEC and we already have several other progressive young democrats who are considering to run against that white man. He has voted against our interests since his very first vote which was NOT to vote for Kendall Scudder. I told him that as soon as the country met Kendall Scudder we would be out of debt. And see, yes we are! So yes I am so happy the main office will be in Dallas. We have the largest growing population and the most need to grow and recruit democrats. Austin will be fine with all the great party chairs including the amazing Kim Gilby of Williamson County and strong precinct chairs like by mentor Kerri Stevens in Travis. But DFW is like four different countries compared to Austin and we have the opportunity to grow!

Good luck my dear! it appears that you have the fiery spirit and the understanding of organizing to do this. I wish you the best of luck and i hope you win. just a small request though. I do sincerely request that if this body changes, they would be receptive to DSA members. DSA has already dealt with too many democratic parties pushing out of their infrascture. We are not crazy or radical that we would pose a threat but for some reason the democratic establishment finds DSA more threatening then the approaching fascist regime which astonishingly stuns me. We have never done anything wrong other then advocate for a democratic socialist road to warrant this level of suppression from democrats.

Girlllll this is the type of organizing i can get behind and the talent that i acknowledge. I may be left to the democrats but i will not deny hard work when i see it and i can definitely see a significant difference with Kendall. He is definitely working hard and the efforts do it. I will not deny and insult Kendall even if his politics are different because i cannot deny the efforts he is doing to make Texas more competitive. That alone has respect for me.

Gliberto definitely would not have been able to do this if he was still party chair. I am also curious, have they opened a Spanish media department yet? This is incredibly crucial i believe.

I don’t know the answer to that, but I’ll find out, at very least where they are on it.

if you can that would be appreciated. Latino voters are the majority. I understand resources are stretched thin but even volunteer efforts with outreach can be crucial as Texas republicans have courted Latino voters and have i dare say propagandized them to a degree against the democrats.

Yes, Republican love to prey on marginalized communities that have limited access to unbiased news media and accurate information, big blind spot for the Democrats. The fact that a majority of Latinos voted red tells me that they don't really know what the GOP thinks of them.

Yes, I’ve asked for Spanish media - 60% of Latinos listen and watch Spanish media. This would be a HUGE step in the right direction.

I am super excited that the SDEC has voted to put Propositions back on the Democratic Primary Ballot! I have been fighting for this for almost two years. I have noticed that several SDEC members and a few others are assuming the new propositions will leave out a special group, or that they should be addressing some goal for the distant future.

The propositions must be about Democrats winning elections NOW! We cannot help or protect the rights of anyone if we cannot get elected.

Most examples and ideas mentioned by those concerned are already part of our party platform, which is where they should be. Resolutions on the Primary ballot should be things the people want us to accomplish NOW. They should dispel Republican rhetoric that Democrats only care about issues that are on the fringes and not about the lives of the common working class people anymore. They should show that the Party is listening to the people. They should also get our base riled up enough to get out and vote.

These are some quickly written examples or suggestions for the Propositions on the Primary Ballot in March 2026.

1) Should Texas establish a minimum living wage of at least $15 an hour?

2) Should the super-rich pay income tax on all income including investment income such as stocks and bonds, capital gains, (add more here) so that WORK is not taxed at a higher rate than WEALTH?

3) Should sales tax be paid on the purchase of yachts, luxury cars, private jets, (add more here) even if purchased through a business or corporation?

4) Do you support firm and humane immigration reform that allows a pathway to citizenship?

5) Should assault weapons be regulated similar to owning and driving a car such as mandatory training, an operating license with required periodic renewals, liability insurance, and registration?

7) Should your public tax dollars be used for private or religious schools in addition to our public schools?

8) Should large corporations pay taxes at the same rate as smaller businesses?

These are not formally written. They are examples of how the propositions should be short and written in simple English used by the people. They show how issues can embrace all groups without excluding any. They are examples of how we can show that Democrats care about all working-class people and all human beings, not just special interest groups. They show that Democrats value workers more than millionaires and billionaires.

The public has come to believe that Democrats only fight for the rights of special interest groups. They think that Democratic leaders and legislators spend their time, money, and efforts on people unlike them at the expense of them. We have lost the common people, especially the younger ones. We must win them back. We cannot help anyone if we don’t get elected.

I'd love to get involved in the local party office if I had the time! Sadly I'm a working stiff doing 9-5 Monday thru Saturday most weeks. Will still do everything I can. I mean it's all happening around me in Ellis County surely I can find the time some days!

Sometimes you can do something simple from home, or maybe a close rally, and you could even help setting up chairs for the rally. There is a place for everyone.

Sad that Bexar County isn’t getting a satellite. 🙏🏼 We still GOTV. I worry we are too late! Who is running for Governor? Do you feel that Ron Nirenberg can win? I saw him at our last CEC meeting and he said to be patient. 🥹 I don’t feel he is known enough. 🤷🏻‍♀️

He is considering running? Or Joaquin possible??????? Those considering need to step up. As to the State party I never saw that coming, but I like it. I have been trying to find precinct chair myself with not as much success as I have hoped. I may have to run myself. Something I never thought I would say!!!!!

Oh no, I am just a fan of both of those men. I live in Dallas County. We have 13 precincts, of which we have currently only 5 filled. I think I have maybe two more that I have found recently.

Only 13 precincts? Bexar county has like 700. Less that 300 have precinct chairs! So if Dallas County has 13, 7 would be a good amount. I understand how you feel, I am one of the Precinct Chair Recruitment and Training Co Chairs of the Bexar County Democratic Party Committee. Everywhere I go I ask people do you know who your precinct chair is? If they don’t know we look it up. If they don’t have one, then I ask them; would you like to be one? So don’t give up. That is what the GOP wants. ☺️
