I personally do support this, but I Elizabeth Warren’s campaign showed us the limited appeal of procedural radicalism of this sort. In the here and now, we should be demanding the retirements of Sotomayor and Kagan. They are both 65+ and we have the senate for a few months. The fact that the RBG problem keeps happening is unreal. Get some 45 year olds confirmed now!
My mistake. Kagan is 63 and Sotomayor is 69. I am not sure why I thought Kagan was 65 because I just looked last week. But let’s say we lose the presidency and senate for 8 years—both are really in the danger zone. I can’t believe this hasn’t been a topic.
