The bots are still working nonstop against Talarico on social media, and will continue to do so until the election

Oh Michelle and the rest of your readers, I don’t know how to fix this, and it makes me sad. I love Congresswomen Jasmine Crockett! I don’t want the Black women to feel that they have been disrespected. I need to do research on the Jacobin podcast. I didn’t understand that either. I will try to understand that too. Rep. James Talarico has spoken several times about white nationalism is not in the Bible. Did he pick up MAGA voters?

Not voting (as many did with Kamala) would cause the GOP to win again. And that could be Paxton which would be way worse than Rep. Talarico would be. Even if Cornyn was the primary. Rep Talarico would be better than Cornyn too. 🤦🏽‍♀️😤

Anyone who knows Talarico’s work in the legislature knows Talarico is the real deal. Talarico invariably asked the right questions and pushed against the extremists in the legislature. One can see who Talarico is and what his motivations are. Talarico is authentic and is authentically guided by faith.

Both Martin Luther King Jr., and LBJ, understood that racial politics has historically been used to hide the evils of economic politics.

Black voters in Texas are sophisticated, and pragmatic.

I can't believe that there are many black voters who would say "well, since Crokett didn't win, I'm voting for Cornyn (or, God forbid, Paxton!!!)

Or I'm not going to vote.....

I also think that many progressives, including myself, are still kind of traumatized by the influence of social media in the last 10 to 15 years.

But, I truly believe that influence is greatly diminished. (Americans can be a bit slow, but we eventually figure it out.)

If healing is needed, I'm confident that Talarico will find a way...

I'm not too worried about it. I have a lot of faith in Talarico to work it all out.

He needs to work in north texas and east texas and really needs to show up for our other black leaders and candidates. That would be a good place to start. He needs to earn every vote. And he needs to start supporting the down ballot candidates

I love Jasmine Crockett. And James Talarico. I really struggled with my vote in the primary. They are both so important to build the deep bench we need in the Democratic Party. When Jasmine entered the race, it’s a no brainer that she would have the full support of the African American community. It’s a no brainer that Talarico would have the support of Hispanics and Independents. I agree with everything Michelle has said. The silver lining it’s revealed the weaknesses in the coalition the Dems desperately need to beat Cornyn/Paxton (my money is on Paxton). “Dems in disarray “ has long been one of the outcomes of having a broad base, and we can see it is still with us. Another silver lining is November is over 7 months away, and we can overcome these challenges. When the Republican primary is over, the nastiness is going to escalate exponentially from whoever wins it. The Redthuglican strategy will be dirty, underhanded and voter suppression on steroids. We will need all hands on deck, I believe we will meet the challenge.
