This is something that the democratic party in all states should strive to replicate. I am not expecting every state to turnout like Texas but i am sure if a slither of these results could be replicated we would be seeing less republican margins in various states then we expected. A return to working class economic populism resonates with a lot of people.

I saw a chart somewhere of the entire state's EV turnout with counties in the Panhandle and West Texas showing Blue. I want to know what that means. Does it mean people in West Texas who previously voted in Republican primaries are crossing over? Or does it mean there were two Democrats in a county and instead of just one of them showing up, both of them did? It's probably a little of both, but what is the overall trend? Putting more Democrats on down ballot races had to have something to do with it.

It is useful to see the Republican numerical analysis and conclusions. Now, it will be very interesting to see what it is Republicans think they are going to do to get their own voters to keep buying what they are selling. I am wondering if maybe middle of the road, automatic Republican voters are queasy about where the Republican Party is headed. I guess starting a war in the Middle East can boost the market for West Texas oil. Interesting stuff to speculate about, but now it's a waiting game until after Tuesday.

I'll be glad when we can get back to work mobilizing voters for the fall.

The Republicans should be very very scared. Why? NW Dallas County mirrors Tarrant, Collin and Denton. My polling site was right at the corner of those 4 counties. About every fifth voter (as the democratic judge) I sent to one of those other counties. Which means, the DFW suburbs are excited to vote for a democrat. These are not really Republican voters. They are Democrats who always feel their vote doesn’t matter but now it does. We always said Texas was a non voting state, now they are voting.

And Ellis will flip blue this year. It was close because still lots of democrats were voting in HD 10 for Harrison’s primary candidate. We wanted him to run as a Democrat but he wouldn’t. We tried but lots of folks still think Ellis can’t flip. But once the primary is done and Harrison wins, those voters are all going to vote for Mike Myers, the common sense Democrat, former Ovila Councilman, someone who knows the community. Because one thing everyone in Ellis agrees on is that Brian Harrison has not done a single thing for Ellis. And with a full slate with Pam Hampton for JP 4, Dr. OJ for Commissioner 4, Myers for HD 10, Keenan Colbert in SD 2 and Amy Martinez Salas in SD 22 and Danny Minton in CD 6, plus me and Rob Shelton running for SDEC, you have an entire slate 100% focused on flipping Ellis County, with more and more houses and apartments all being built with plenty of time to register by October 3. And meanwhile our little sister in Navarro will turn out in record numbers that will boost CD 6 along with Johnson.
